After a (not so) brief hiatus, Kinsman return to the label, this time with a full-length EP with two weighty remixes.The EP, titled “Surveillance” explores his characteristic UK bass meets tribal techno sound with excellent vocal sampling and textured sound design.

‘Surveillance’ does a great job of setting the mood and the flavour – chiming bells and winding bass, accompanied by ticky techno hi hats makes this a weapon of an opener. High energy throughout.

When we first heard ‘Private Traps’ in 2017 we knew it was going to be a smash! It has been featuring in live sets and radio over at EMB HQ and beyond since then, and it sounds just as fresh. The characteristic vocal sample is complemented by a side of guttural bass and seasoned with shakers,creating an effortless groover.

‘Escalate’ wraps up the release and is the perfect link between the two previous tracks. Scattered with tribal drums, sweeps and an endless number of subtle elements, it’s sure to do some damage to the dance.

Remixes come from absolute legends Orson and Biome, with Orson daring to create a 130 techno-meets-dubstep flip of ‘Private Traps’, complete with warped vocal effects and the heaviest bassline you’ve heard this side of quarantine. Biome goes the full 140 on ‘Escalate’ using the flutes from the original to hypnotic and head nodding effect – a sense of tension rides through the track, pulsing and pulling the listener deeper into the chasm.

This one drops on 15th June and you gotta support the ting cos it’s Kinsman’s birthday 😉
